Everything you need to know before booking a jet ski tour or banana boat with us in Corralejo, Fuerteventura. Can’t find your question below? Contact us directly — we answer on WhatsApp within minutes.

Before you book

Do I need a boating licence?

No. All our tours are guided — one of our instructors leads the group on a separate jet ski and stays with you the entire time. You do not need a Spanish boating licence (licencia de navegación) or any previous experience. If you can follow simple instructions, you can ride our jet skis.

What’s the minimum age?

You must be 18 years or older to drive a jet ski. Passengers on a Double tour can be 7 years or older, provided they are accompanied by an adult and have parental consent if under 18. For the Banana Boat, the minimum age is 8 years, with an adult on the banana.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Yes. You should be comfortable in open water. You will always wear a life jacket, but in the unlikely event of falling into the water, you need to be able to stay calm and afloat until assistance arrives — which is always within seconds because your guide is right there.

Is there a weight limit?

There’s no strict maximum, but for Double tours, combined weight matters for jet ski stability. If both riders are above 100 kg each, contact us before booking so we can assign the right machine. For solo tours and banana boat, no specific limit applies.

Are there health restrictions?

We do not recommend jet ski or banana boat tours for people with back or neck injuries, recent surgery, pregnancy, or certain heart conditions. The ride involves sudden movements and impact with the water. If you’re unsure, ask your doctor or contact us and we’ll help you decide.

On the day of your tour

Where exactly are you located?

Our base is at Av. Marítima s/n, 35660 Corralejo, in the harbour. Look for Bar La Lonja with its big underwater mural (octopus, fish, mermaid) and the giant red parrotfish sculpture out front — we’re right next to them, by the white CORRALEJO sign at the marina. If you have GPS, simply search for “Bar La Lonja Corralejo” and you’ll find us. Free parking nearby.

What should I bring?

Swimwear (worn under your clothes), a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, and a photo ID. A change of dry clothes for afterwards is a good idea. Leave valuables at your accommodation — small items like keys or phones can be stored at our base during the tour, but we recommend bringing as little as possible.

What should I wear?

Just swimwear is enough in summer. In winter months (December–February), we provide neoprene shorties on request. Water shoes are optional but can be nice for the stops during longer tours.

Can I wear glasses or contact lenses?

Contact lenses are fine. Prescription glasses are OK but bring a retainer strap — spray and waves can knock them off. Sunglasses with a strap are highly recommended for all tours.

Can I bring a GoPro or phone for photos?

Absolutely. For phones, use a waterproof pouch with a lanyard — you will get splashed. GoPro mounts on the jet ski are possible, ask your guide at check-in. We cannot guarantee your equipment against water damage, so use a waterproof case.

How early should I arrive?

Arrive at least 20 minutes before your booked slot. This gives us time for paperwork, safety briefing, and equipment fitting before you hit the water.

The tours themselves

What’s included in the price?

All tours include: the jet ski or banana boat itself, all safety equipment (life jackets, lanyards), professional multilingual guide, safety briefing, third-party liability insurance, and free parking at our base. The Isla de Lobos tours additionally include snorkelling gear, drinks, and snacks at the stops.

What languages do your guides speak?

Our guides are fluent in English and Spanish. Some speak German, Italian, or French as well. Safety briefings are always delivered in English and Spanish at minimum; let us know your preferred language when booking and we’ll match you with the right guide if available.

Will we see dolphins or turtles?

Often, but not guaranteed. Dolphins are regular visitors on the Corralejo–Lobos strait — we see them on roughly half of our Isla de Lobos tours. Sea turtles are spotted at the snorkelling stops more often than most visitors expect. We can’t promise wildlife; nature decides. But the odds are in your favour.

Can I switch drivers on a Double tour?

Yes. On PowerSafari Double and Isla de Lobos Double tours, you can swap driver mid-tour. Let the guide know at the first stop (or right after the briefing) and we’ll make it happen safely.

Booking, payment, and cancellation

How far in advance should I book?

In high season (July–September, plus Easter and Christmas weeks), book at least 3–5 days ahead to secure your preferred time slot. In low season, same-day bookings are often possible — WhatsApp us at +34 666 14 15 66 to check availability.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour — full refund, no questions asked. Within 24 hours, we can reschedule at no cost if the reason is weather, illness, or another unavoidable circumstance.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety always wins. If the Atlantic isn’t cooperating (strong wind, high swells), we’ll either reschedule your tour at no cost or issue a full refund. We make the call the morning of your tour and contact you directly — so make sure your phone number is correct when booking.

Do you offer hotel pickup?

Not currently. Our base is at Av. Marítima s/n in Corralejo harbour, right in front of Bar La Lonja and next to the iconic CORRALEJO welcome sign — impossible to miss. Corralejo is small and very walkable, most hotels are within 10 minutes. Taxis are inexpensive, and there’s free parking nearby.

What payment methods do you accept?

Online bookings via the website are paid by credit/debit card. At the base on the day, we accept cash (euros), card, and contactless payments. For group bookings, bank transfer is also possible — contact us for details.
