Description
1 hour 30 minutes. 50 kilometres. One uninhabited volcanic island circled entirely by jet ski.
The Isla de Lobos Single tour is our flagship experience — and the reason we’ve won Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award every year since 2018. This is not a quick ride along the coast. This is a full morning on the water: circling Isla de Lobos (the tiny uninhabited volcanic island north of Fuerteventura), stopping at two hidden spots to cool off and snorkel, with drinks, snacks, and a small-group atmosphere that makes it feel more like a private expedition than a tour.
Why this tour is different
Most operators on the island sell “jet ski experiences” that last 20–40 minutes. Ours lasts 90 — because to actually see Isla de Lobos properly, you need the time. The island is 4.5 km² of pure volcanic landscape, protected as a natural park since 1982, and you’ll circumnavigate it completely. Between the two stops, you’ll have been in the water twice, seen parts of the coast most visitors never reach, and probably come back with a story about dolphins or turtles to tell your friends.

What you will see
The full Isla de Lobos loop takes you past:
- Punta Martiño lighthouse — the northern tip of the island, one of the most photogenic spots in the archipelago.
- Las Lagunitas — natural tidal pools where sea turtles are regularly spotted. This is typically our first snorkelling stop.
- Playa de la Concha — a white-sand crescent beach visible only by boat from certain angles, with impossibly clear water.
- The Strait of Lobos — the channel between Lobos and Fuerteventura, a known passage for dolphins, pilot whales, and the occasional loggerhead turtle.
- Montaña La Caldera — the 127-metre extinct volcano that dominates the island’s skyline, best photographed from the west side.
About the snorkelling stops
We stop twice during the tour. The first stop is typically in a sheltered bay where the water clarity hits 15–20 metres of visibility on good days. Mask and snorkel are provided. You’ll float among parrotfish, damselfish, and the occasional octopus. The second stop is shorter — a refreshment break with drinks and snacks included, and time to take photos of the island without holding your camera over a moving jet ski.
